Project-based learning at Hercademy

At Hercademy, you don’t just learn theory, you apply it. Every track is structured around real, practical projects that mimic workplace tasks. Depending on the cohort, you’ll either work within your track or alongside other tracks to collaborate on bigger projects. By graduation, you’ll have a portfolio of projects that prove your skills to employers.

What is Project-Based Learning?

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is our teaching model that emphasizes building, creating, and solving real problems while you learn. Instead of endless lectures and theory, you’ll spend your time applying your new skills to projects you can showcase.

Sometimes this means working only within your track (e.g., a Business Ops workflow project). Other times, when multiple tracks are active together, it
meanscross-team collaboration. (e.g., Product Design + Marketing working on a mini product launch).
It’s education that looks, feels, and works like a real company.

How It Works

Step 1
Project Assignment
Every track has a series of projects tied to its curriculum (e.g., drafting SOPs in Business Ops, building an ad campaign in Performance Marketing).
Step 2
Role-Specific Work
You’ll complete hands-on deliverables that reflect real responsibilities in that career path.
Step 3
Collaboration (When Possible)
If multiple tracks are running at the same time, students may work together on cross-functional projects.
Step 4
Weekly Deliverables
Projects are broken into milestones, with deadlines to mimic professional work cycles.
Step 5
Showcase & Portfolio
By graduation, you’ll have multiple projects and case studies you can add to your portfolio.
This is more than coursework — it’s workplace simulation

Frequently asked questions

What kind of projects will I work on?

Each track has tailored projects (e.g., designing a prototype, creating an ad campaign). Sometimes projects involve collaboration with other tracks.

Do all 10 tracks always work together?

Not always. It depends on the cohort. Some programs run simultaneously and collaborate, while others focus only on their track’s projects.

Will I have something to show employers after?

Yes. Every student graduates with portfolio-ready projects tied to their skill track.

What if I need guidance?

Instructors and mentors act as supervisors, ensuring your projects stay on track and industry-relevant.

Is this separate from internships?

Yes. PBL happens during your program. Internships are external opportunities posted while you’re in training or after.
