How our internship program works
We’ve designed our internships to be flexible so every learner —whether in an 8-week or longer week track — can participate.
01
Eligibility Starts Mid-Program
For 12-week programs, opportunities typically open from Week 7. For shorter 8-week tracks, opportunities may be available from Week 4 onward.
02
Opportunities Posted in Community
Internships are shared first with active students inside our Slack channels.
03
Application Process
Students apply directly to opportunities using the resumes and portfolios they’ve built in class.
04
Placement
Depending on performance, commitment, and readiness, you’ll be connected with founders or startups.
05
Ongoing Feedback
You’ll be supported throughout your internship by both the company and Hercademy coaches.

Frequently asked questions
Are internships paid?
Some are paid, some are unpaid. The priority is gaining real-world experience and references.
Do I need to apply separately?
Yes. You must submit your resume and, in some cases, a short application to be considered.
What happens if I don’t get an internship during training?
You’ll still leave with a portfolio, coaching, and job search skills to help you land one afterward.
What industries are internships in?
Most are in tech-adjacent fields — marketing, sales, design, customer service, operations, and community roles.
Do internships guarantee full-time jobs?
Not guaranteed, but many students have converted internships into permanent positions.
